Mommy's New Toy

I've been wanting to get a better camera for a long time. I got a Canon Rebel for my Mother's Day gift. Here are a couple of photos from my awesome gift! Still practicing....

Andrew at Grandma and Grandpa's Cabin

These photos are about 2 months old. Andrew went to the grandparent's family cabin in Payson and he spent the weekend there without me or Justin. This was Andrew's first weekend away from us. Apparently he had a blast, because his cousins Jacob and Michael were also there.

Eva Likes Chi Chi

Eva likes kim chi, that is. Oh, be still my half Korean heart.

I finally went to the Asian market yesterday after a long time away. It's inevitable that I spend a load of money when there, so I've been very careful about not going too often, and then suddenly it seems that I haven't been there in about 7 or 8 months. Yikes! It's almost unheard of me going without Korean food for that long, but somehow it happened. Anyways, I could actually feel my mouth watering when I unpacked the groceries. I had kim chi wtih lunch and dinner. Justin also had kim chi with his dinner. While he was eating, Eva showed interest so he gave her a piece. We anxiously watched her eat it, and then devour it. For the next 20 minutes she kept asking for chi chi. Seriously, it's a sense of pride for a Korean mother to have children who like kim chi.

Unfortunately, Andrew intensely avoids anything spicy. However, I am teaching him a song in Korean :)

Oh yeah, Eva looks pretty rough in these photos. On Wednesdays the kids get ice cream from the ice cream truck and then they eat it in the backyard after dinner. So, Wednesday nights are pretty messy around here.

Made these for Baby Eliana. My first attempt at making baby booties and I just LOVE them! Hope Linda likes them as much as I do.

I made this dress a couple of weekends ago. Love how it turned out and certainly love the Heather Bailey fabric, too.

Silly on Wednesday Morning

What a beautiful morning here-- the sun's bright and it's not too warm (yet). The kids are in a great mood and I'm in a great mood (despite lack of sleep, since Eva had been sick for the last couple of days). Eva is wearing a dress I made for her last week. I used this same fabric for a blanket I made for cousin Mia and I've been saving the last bit of this fabric for something special. Just love this dress :)

Dresses

I have been able to get some sewing done these past few days. I made these two dresses for Eva, I also made her a skirt, a dress for Baby Eliana, and I appliqued some onesies for Baby Eliana.

What I love most about these dresses is that they're so easy to get on and off Eva. It's also fun to use unexpected fabrics for baby clothes!
